AIEEE 2009 : AIEEE attempts to be reduced to 3 from 2009

The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is organized by the CBSE in India for admission to various under-graduate courses in engineering and architecture. Admission to the prestigious National Institutes of Technology is through this test.

As from 2009 onwards, The chances of appearing in the AIEEE (All-India Engineering Entrance Examination) have been reduced to three.

At present, the students can appear for the examination for any number of times. The new decision will be applicable for the students appearing from the year 2009 onwards.

The decision was taken in a meeting of senior officials of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). The board is conducting the examination.

The AIEEE is a competitive exam that is taken by students after Class XII for securing a seat in engineering colleges,the decision has been taken to improve the quality of education.
