CBSE Papers : Helpline service for CBSE students
Students are as usual atrocious about board exams. As 10th standard is the first time for which they are appearing for a board exam, they have loads of queries, fear and enormous pressure but in 12th standard the fear factor is reduced as compared to that of pressure. Pressure is the only thing which keeps on mulling in the mind of a High School child.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has re-launched its helpline service to help answer exam-related student queries. The telephonic counselling would be active between 8 am and 4 pm from February 1 to March 31, 2009.
CBSE has appointed three counsellors Ashok Gupta, Seema Sharma (India International School) and Upendra Kaushik (Vidyashram School) to handle students’ queries. They have prepared a list of questionnaire based on their past experience.
A class XII student would get a 40-page answer sheet as compared to 48 pages earlier. Similarly, the number of pages for tenth class has been reduced to 32 from 40. This new system would reduce the psychological pressure of the students that arises out of more number of pages.
