Summer vacation extended in Delhi schools
The sweltering heatwave has forced the Delhi government to extend summer vacation of schools by one more week in the national capital.
The schools will now re-open on July 7, the government announced on Thursday.
“A heat wave condition prevails in Delhi and we have decided to extend the summer vacation for a week. We have issued orders for government and private schools to open July 7,” Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely told mediapersons.
